San Jose, CA (SportsNetwork. Josh Hill Saints Jersey .com) - Jacob Josefson scored a short-handed goal and an assist as the New Jersey Devils closed out their California trip on a positive note with a 5-2 win over the San Jose Sharks on Monday. Cory Schneider made 34 saves and Steve Bernier, Travis Zajac, Jordin Tootoo and Mike Cammalleri all lit the lamp for the Devils, who bounced back from a 5-1 loss to Anaheim on Friday to finish 2-1-0 on their cross-country excursion. Joe Pavelski and Matt Nieto each scored for the Sharks, who have dropped their last two games. Alex Stalock gave up all five goals on 34 shots in his first start since Jan. 6. New Jersey ended a four-game losing streak to the Sharks, beating them for the first time since Feb. 11, 2011. After Sharks defenseman Brent Burns took his third penalty of the night, Cammalleri fired a shot from the edge of the right circle for a 3-2 lead with 5:15 to play in the middle stanza. Zajac provided the Devils with some insurance after he powered his way across the top of the crease and backhanded a loose puck past Stalock for a 4-2 game with 8:48 remaining. Less than three minutes later, Adam Henrique poked the puck past a Sharks defender on the penalty kill, raced up into the offensive zone and sent a cross-ice pass to Josefson, who finished off the 2-on-1 with a quick wrister to account for the final score. San Jose started the scoring 3:59 into the contest as Pavelski beat Schneider with a quick wrister from the right circle. The Devils went ahead with two goals in 35 seconds late in the first period. Tootoo tied the game after his second whack at the rebound of Tim Sestitos failed wrap-around attempt with 4:31 left. Scott Gomez stripped Burns of the puck behind the cage and sent it to the slot, where Bernier deposited his own rebound into the net with 3:56 to go before the first intermission. Nieto charged into the slot and one-timed Tyler Kennedys pass to tie the game at 2-2 four minutes into the second. Game Notes Thornton tied former Red Wings defenseman Nicklas Lidstrom for 21st on the NHLs all-time assists list with 878 ... Henrique and Gomez each tallied two assists ... Sharks defenseman Justin Braun left the game in the second period after blocking a shot ... New Jersey will return to the ice on Jan. 28 to host Toronto, while San Jose will face Los Angeles at home on Wednesday. New Orleans Saints Jerseys . The biggest shock of this seasons competition was on when Watford took a 2-0 lead after 30 minutes at Etihad Stadium, only for a remarkable Aguero-led comeback by City in the final half-hour. The Argentina striker produced clinical finishes in the 60th and 79th minutes to level the score before Aleksandar Kolarov put City in front in the 87th. Vinnie Sunseri Saints Jersey . Aaron Hill and Cliff Pennington hit home runs in the first inning for the Diamondbacks, who beat the Miami Marlins 3-2 on Friday night. http://www.shoptheofficialsaints.com/Elite-Jamarca-Sanford-Saints-Jersey/ . The San Angelo, Texas product, who was a high school and college quarterback sensation in the Lone Star State, will start his first CFL game with the Saskatchewan Roughriders (9-4) on Friday at Mosaic Stadium against the leagues top team, the Calgary Stampeders (11-2).TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- David Beckham brought his international star power to the halls of the Florida Capitol on Tuesday, trying to rally support from the governor and legislators for the Major League Soccer franchise he plans to bring to Miami later this decade. Beckham was mobbed by legislators and legislative aides during his visit as they took to social media to document his visit. Even Gov. Rick Scott took a "selfie" of himself with Beckham. Beckham made no secret that he wants to tap into state subsidies like most of the states other professional teams have done. The Florida Legislature is advancing a bill this year that would create a process that lets pro sports teams compete for a share of state tax dollars in the future. "No ones promised me anything," Beckham said about his brief visit. "But they promised me that they support having the team in Miami and are excited about that. Its good that they havent promised me anything, because then I know its going to be fair and the decision will be down to what they think is best for the state." The 38-year-old former England captain said he had never previously visited Tallahassee which has a much more Old South feel than cosmopolitan Miami. "Its going to sound silly and people are probably going to laugh at me but I love the moss on the trees," Beckham. "Ive only seen it in scary movies. Ive never seen it close up." Beckhams visit to the Capitol came a day after his architects and advisers recommended the Port of Miami as the stadium site for his team. The plan annnounced Monday would have an open-air stadium with views of the bay and the downtown skyline. Stanley Jean-Baptiste Saints Jersey. . The capacity could be as low as 21,000 or as high as 35,000. He was escorted around the Capitol by high-powered lobbyist Brian Ballard, who has been a major fundraiser for Republicans. Under the proposed bill, pro teams could qualify for as much as $2 million a year depending on how much the team invests in the project. A similar bill was considered last year, but it was never considered by the Florida House because initially it included help for the Miami Dolphins. Scott said on Tuesday he can support a sports incentives bill as long as it has safeguards to ensure a return on investment, including a provision to pay back the state if the pro team doesnt generate as much money as anticipated. "Its exciting he wants to invest in Florida," said Scott about his meeting with Beckham. A spokesman for House Speaker Will Weatherford called the meeting "informational" and said the speaker stressed his support for a bill that would create a process to guide future professional team subsidies. Sen. Andy Gardiner, R-Orlando and in line to become the next Senate president, said he and Beckham primarily discussed Orlandos Major League Soccer franchise that is expected to start playing next year. Beckham said hes confident that Florida can support two franchises especially since the league is "stable" now. The league previously had two teams in the state. "I think at the end of the day we want a rivalry," Beckham said. Wholesale NFL Jerseys ' ' '
